Sidonis, an emerging new leader in service assurance, today announced the release of version 2.0 of its Sidonis|StateWise® product.
Created to solve the problem of accurately and quickly determining the root cause of network outages and their impact on services, Sidonis|StateWise® 2.0 gives service providers a dramatic boost to efforts to retain customers while lowering costs:
Improved performance against commercial service level agreements – reducing the commercial impact of outages
“With more advanced services and networks now in service, it’s becoming clear that service providers also have a critical need for more advanced technology to determine, quickly and accurately, where and how service levels are being compromised,” said Sidonis CTO, Martin Hobbs, “With Version 2 of Sidonis|StateWise®, we’ve taken a giant leap forward in the power and sophistication available to ensuring fast and accurate service assurance.”
Key features of Sidonis|StateWise® 2.0 include:
Previous generations of management systems rely on extensively described and complex rulesets. These rulesets encapsulate the behaviour and structures of individual devices or technologies, which makes them extremely difficult to maintain. Inevitably, service providers describe many more scenarios than it is economic (or possible) to encode in such systems.
By contrast, Sidonis|StateWise® separates out the model and behaviours, and uses advanced modelling and GUI techniques to dramatically simplify the process of developing failure scenarios. Through meta-data definitions and UML, Sidonis|StateWise® can accommodate device model changes easily, and support service definitions that span multiple network technologies at a fraction of the time typically taken.
Sidonis CTO, Martin Hobbs, added: “The breakthrough that Sidonis|StateWise® 2.0 represents will give service providers confidence in committing to high-value customers with demanding service level agreements.”
