Sidonis on FASTrack to Success
Sidonis delivers solutions for the monitoring, analysis and reporting of network problems. The company was one of six selected by FASTrack to receive effective and broad based business support.
The FASTrack programme is run by the Silicon South West network and funded by the partnership of UK trade and Investment (UKTI) and the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA).
The aim of FASTrack is to accelerate the growth of the selected start-ups by providing a package of professional support and strategic mentoring.
Research by Silicon South West identified that the demands on start-ups during their investment, early research and development phase often inhibits engagement with the potential customers, investors and partners who would be vital in shaping successful business strategies. The FASTrack programme was therefore set up to address the “strategy gap” by providing start-ups with business mentors, training and promotional support as well as grant application guidance and funding for activities associated with entering international markets.
Sidonis was selected for the programme as it has a unique product, Sidonis|StateWise® which is applicable to a very wide range of application areas.
Sidonis|StateWise® is an enterprise-class problem determination, root cause and service impact analysis software application that has been designed to offer a radically different approach to device and service management within large, complex and fast-changing network environments. It delivers benefits by creating a virtual model of the network to speed up root cause analysis; requiring fewer rules, simplifying design and maintenance and using intuitive graphical user interfaces for ease of use and to simplify operations in “white box” modes. Its total flexibility with its topology modelling ensures that it is adaptable to a wide range of application areas.
Through the FASTrack programme, Don Keir, CEO of Sidonis, has received extensive mentoring from a broad based director with experience in many companies. The mentor has provided valuable assistance to Don across the business, especially in revising the business plan, sales and marketing strategies and growth strategies.
Very often the growth of start-ups is restricted by the lack of investment and today receiving credit is a massive problem for businesses. FASTrack has also provided a financial consultant who has helped immensely with guidance for funding and grant applications.
The FASTrack programme has also provided an opportunity for Sidonis team members to receive training in sales and marketing skills.
